We’re hiring an Associate to Vice President to help lead our remarketing efforts as we continue to scale. This role sits at the intersection of M&A, software, and sales. You’ll work directly with business owners who come to us through inbound channels and our referral partner network, using SourceCo’s marketplace and proprietary data tools to match them with the right investors and drive transactions to close. This is not a traditional retained advisory role. You’ll operate in a high-velocity environment, managing a meaningful volume of opportunities while leveraging technology to move efficiently and win. The ideal candidate understands the mechanics of M&A, is hungry to close, and genuinely cares about guiding owners through the most important transaction of their lives.

Responsibilities:

Deal Execution & Owner Advisory

  • Manage a pipeline of company owners coming through SourceCo’s inbound channels and referral partner network, guiding them from initial engagement through close.
  • Use SourceCo’s marketplace and proprietary deal pairing tools to identify and connect owners with the most relevant institutional buyers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and steward for business owners, many of whom are navigating a sale for the first time.  
  • Drive deals to close—use our software platforms to identify the right investors, manager investor relationships, buyer coordinate buyer-seller introductions, manager owner expectations
  • Maintain disciplined deal qualification to ensure time is spent on the highest-probability opportunities.

Product & Platform Development

  • Provide ongoing feedback to the product and engineering team on SourceCo’s marketplace tools, deal pairing algorithms, and workflows—you’ll be a power user and a key voice in what we build next.
  • Help identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities in the platform from the perspective of someone doing deals every day.
  • Collaborate on building and refining features that make deal execution faster, smarter, and more scalable.

Marketplace & Buyer Relationships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors on the platform, understanding their acquisition criteria and investment thesis.
  • Leverage data and platform insights to proactively match deals to investors before they hit the broader market.
  • Contribute to the overall health and quality of SourceCo’s marketplace by ensuring high-quality deal flow and buyer engagement.

Compensation

Base Salary

$100,000 – $120,000 depending on experience

Performance Comp

Percentage of deal closings, commensurate with experience and deal contribution

Target Total Comp

$250,000 – $500,000+ annually for strong performers

Title Range

Associate to Vice President, based on experience and track record

This role offers significant upside tied directly to your ability to close deals. With a target total compensation range of $250K–$500K+, top performers are rewarded for production.

Requirements:

  • 3–8 years of experience in M&A, either sell-side or buy-side (investment banking, private equity, M&A advisory, corporate development, or business brokerage).
  • Strong understanding of deal mechanics—valuation, LOIs, due diligence, purchase agreements, and closing processes.
  • A closer’s mentality. You are motivated by getting deals done and are comfortable being measured on outcomes.
  • Genuine empathy for business owners and the ability to build trust quickly. You understand that for many owners, this is the biggest financial decision of their lives.
  • Comfort with technology and data-driven workflows. You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be excited to use software tools daily and provide thoughtful feedback on how to make them better.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can translate complex deal dynamics into clear, actionable guidance for owners and buyers.

Preferred

  • Experience in the lower-middle market ($500K–$10M EBITDA) or with owner-operated businesses.
  • Familiarity with private equity buy-side processes, platform and add-on acquisition strategies, or industry roll-ups.
  • Track record of managing multiple concurrent deal processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in building something—you’re drawn to startups or growth-stage companies where your input directly shapes the product and the business.
